I am unable to execute Rapidwiz installer for Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2 on Oracle Enterprise Linux 7.0

I have verified all the downloads and did all the pre install setups.
I am seeing the following error in the log file

Executing cr9idata.pl

Executing: perl /u01/oracle/VIS2/12.1.0/nls/data/old/cr9idata.pl

Unable to execute cr9idata.pl

RW-50010: Error: - script has returned an error: 2

Hello Rohit
Did you manage to fix the error you had reported earlier?

I ran EBS 12.2.0 on OEL 7.5 but did not face any issues while starting RapidInstall wizard. And I simply followed all the steps as documented under MOS Document ID 1330701.1.

However after the installation started, I faced a similar error that you had reported.

I could manage to resolve that error and the solution is detailed in my blog here - http://aclnz.com/interests/blogs/oracle-e-business-suite-installation-of-release-12-2-0-failed-with-error-rw-50004-under-oracle-linux-7-5-os.

In the above blog I have also mentioned the path where you can find installation logs. That's the place you should look at to find the root cause of the issue.

Anyway, let me know if you still require any further help.

In that case have a look at MOS Document ID 1330701.1 titled "Oracle E-Business Suite Installation and Upgrade Notes Release 12 (12.2) for Linux x86-64", and refer to the section for Oracle Linux 7 and make sure all required RPM packages have been installed.

Once you have done that then also refer to further sections in the same document to ensure that all required kernel parameters and dependencies have been setup correctly.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks Kabeer for the quick response. The stackoverflow error message is quite similar or exactly what I am seeing but the response to the question doesn't make quite sense. I am unable to see the routines in .bashrc file.

I have the particular perl-File-CheckTree rpm installed.

Hello Rohit
Try any one of the below mentioned potential solutions:
1. Check solution given at this link - https://stackoverflow.com/questions/44196232/unable-to-execute-cr9idata-pl

2. Check whether perl package has been installed (specifically rpm package "perl-File-CheckTree-4.42-3.el7.noarch" or higher). To do that issue the following commands:

yum list perl-File-CheckTree*

if you don't find it installed them simply install it with the following command:

yum install perl-File-CheckTree*

For further details check out MOS Document ID 1330701.1 titled "Oracle E-Business Suite Installation and Upgrade Notes Release 12 (12.2) for Linux x86-64". Under this document refer to the section for Oracle Linux 7 and make sure all required RPM packages have been installed.

Restart the system and retry installation using rapidwiz.

Let me know how it goes.
