1.1.6 Completing Pre-Install Dependencies and Requirement of Libraries 1.1.6.1 Download following libraries. Get them from Oracle website: wget https://oss.oracle.com/projects/compat-oracle/dist/files/Enterprise_Linux/openmotif21-2.1.30-11.EL5.i386.rpm wget https://oss.oracle.com/projects/compat-oracle/dist/files/Enterprise_Linux/openmotif21-2.1.30-11.EL6.i686.rpm wget https://oss.oracle.com/projects/compat-oracle/dist/files/Enterprise_Linux/xorg-x11-libs-compat-6.8.2-1.EL.33.0.1.i386.rpm wget https://oss.oracle.com/projects/compat-oracle/dist/files/Enterprise_Linux/xorg-x11-libs-compat-6.8.2-1.EL.33.0.1.i686.rpm 1.1.6.2 Additionally, the following rpm needs to be installed from the Oracle Linux 5 or RHEL 5 distribution media on the application tier (let’s park this step for now since application tier user hasn’t been created): libXrender-0.9.1-3.1.i386 Note – if you get error ‘’ while running the above command then manually download the above rpms from the following link: https://oss.oracle.com/projects/compat-oracle/files/Enterprise_Linux/

Hello Charles
Here are my comments:
1. If you have downloaded the rpm's from inside your Virtualbox VM on Oracle Linux, then make sure you change the directory where rpm's were downloaded. Then then run the command to install them.

But if you have downloaded it under your Windows host machine, then you have to mount the directory of windows under Virtualbox VM amd then access it. The instructions to do this has been specified under the MD.120 document under "Setting up Stage Area" section.

2. I believe you are referring to Oracle Public Yum. If yes, then there are times when someone else may be accessing it and hence you get that message of "waiting". You may try it again after some time and it should work.
