Oracle iProcurement enables an organization's internal requesters to independently order items from both internal and external catalogs.
Oracle iProcurement is a part of Oracle Advanced Procurement, which streamlines employee ordering through a user friendly web shopping-cart type interface. Internal catalogs for inventory items can be defined and aligned to item categories. Catalogs for service items can be defined through Smart Forms. Through the PunchOut feature, users can as well connect to approved suppliers external web shopping portals or content hubs without leaving iProcurement. It also helps requestor to track the status of fulfillment and then receiving or returning online.
A tight integration with purchasing helps to enforce approval limits, streamline purchasing policies and slash procurement costs for goods and services. Integration with Sourcing helps to centralize purchasing, online negotiation with Suppliers and gives higher advanced quotation analysis and collective bargaining power to buying organizations.
